About Ven Master Hui Hai

Ven Master Hui Hai was grown up in Tawau, Sabah.  He had further his education in UK and obtained both Bachelor and Master degrees (BSc, MSc and MBA) in the 60s.  He has also acquired the academician from Associate Fellow, Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (AFIMA), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and Member British Institute of Management (MBIM).

The Venerable has vowed to propagate the Buddhadharma in its generalized, popularized and modernized simplicity. He is also a University Professor, a Mathematician in UK, a Spiritual Teacher, a Creative Religionist, a Zen Calligrapher and a Staunch Humanistic Buddhism Practitioner.

With his enthusiasm, determination and perseverance, the venerable established the Buddhist Monastery in Malaysia (First Monastery). He was also frequently invited to give Dharma talks locally and abroad, propagating the dharma not only in Malaysia but abroad such as Dalian, Shanghai, ChongQing, ChengDu, GuangZhou and NanJing of China.  The Venerable has also established the Hunanistik Publication, and writes, publishes and distributes Dharma books, tutorial, CD/VCD, and even Buddhist songs and lyrics.

The Venerable is also a renowned calligrapher, and for the past years, has selflessly contributed his master pieces to the Buddhist Institutions, Schools and charitable organizations for their fund raising campaign.
